Last week, Samsung released the long-awaited update for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + smartphones, and today it has hit Poland!
Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + (XEO) get Pie!
Our readers inform that the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + have received an update to Android 9.0 Pie in Poland with the Samsung One UI overlay. The new software also brings February security fixes.
The new system for the Galaxy S8 was signed with the G950FXXU4DSBA string, and the update for the Galaxy S8 + is called G955FXXU4DSBA. In both cases, the package weighs over 1.6 GB and is made available via the OTA channel. This means that the phone itself should inform about its availability. If this is not the case, just go to the phone settings and search for it manually in the Software update tab.
Let me remind you that today Pie also received the Galaxy Note 8. Android 9 is the last version of the system for all flagships from 2017, so both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + and the Galaxy Note 8 will not receive any major update (most likely). Fortunately, they will receive newer security patches for many more months - I would like to remind you that the year older Galaxy S7 still receives them, and quite regularly.
Samsung has kept its word
