TCL showed a prototype of a folding smartphone, in which part of the screen can be rolled and developed. Thanks to this, we have a smartphone and a tablet in one device.
During the DCT 2021 event in China, TCL showed its idea for an original smartphone, which in a few moments can change into a tablet with a fairly large display. The device combines the concept of a folding smartphone with a bent screen and the ability to develop or roll up a part of the panel, depending on your needs.

The acting prototype of the TCL smartphone can be seen in the film attached below. It shows that after folding, the device looks like an ordinary smartphone with a frameless display with a diagonal of 6.87 inches. After opening the device, we can use a folding screen with a diagonal of 8.55 inches. However, this equipment does not end there. The screen can be extended with an additional part developed on the left.In this way we get a tablet with a 10 -inch display.
The device shown on the recording is quite an early prototype for now and it is not known if such a smartphone will ever hit the market. However, the idea is very interesting.
