Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ for the first time in the history of the series are to be equipped with smaller displays than their predecessors. In addition, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will receive an LTPO panel.
Observing the smartphone market, it is not difficult to notice a certain trend. From year to year, the next generations of the same devices are usually bigger than their predecessors. Exceptions to this rule can be counted on the fingers of one hand. We will not find them in Samsung's flagship series, the Galaxy S. However, it seems that this may change next year.
Rumours circulating on the web suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ models will be equipped with smaller screens than the Galaxy S21 and S21+ respectively. However, the differences will not be large. Instead of 6.1" and 6.7" displays, we will get 6.06" and 6.55". Probably, during everyday use, the change will be practically imperceptible, but the breaking of the trend of growing devices is worth noting.
When it comes to the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra model, basically no changes here. The device will again receive a 6.81" display. It will also be the only model in the S22 family to use LTPO OLED technology.
