Unexpectedly, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is to debut with Exynos 2100, known from this year's Samsung flagships. Why such a decision and is it good news for a potential buyer?
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is a truly bizarre device. The refreshed version of the flagship from 2021, which was to be offered at a lower price and presented a few months ago, has still not hit the market. Now there is talk of a premiere in early January, and Geekbench tests reveal a surprise regarding the processor.
Just when it seemed that the specification of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE was a closed case, the result of a popular benchmark test shed new light on the possible cause of the delay. It may be a (forced or not) change of the processor, which this time is the Exynos 2100, i.e. the system that drives the Samsung Galaxy S21 in Europe. Let me remind you that previously there was always talk of Snapdragon 888 as a system for this model. The RAM is unchanged and still 8 GB.

Why does Samsung Galaxy S21 FE have Exynos 2100?
Galaxy S21 FE will debut with almost exactly one year old processor on board. On the one hand, he will certainly not run out of power, but on the other hand - Samsung will have to play really hard with the price. It seems to me (these are just my suspicions, I have not found any solid confirmation) that the entire supply of Snapdragon 888 goes to the production of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3.
We've heard before that the interest in these models is impressive. The same cannot be said about the Galaxy S21, which just sold below expectations. Hence, the decision to change the processor to Exynos 2100 may also result. There is also an option that the variant from today's leak is a version for some markets - I would assume that also for Poland.
Will the purchase of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE make sense at all with such a late premiere? The easiest way to answer this question is to read the Samsung Galaxy S22 specification. These models will debut only a month later, and they may have a lot more to offer.
