Samsung is preparing not only for the premiere of the flagships from the Galaxy S22 line, but also for low-end phones. One of them is the Galaxy M33, which has just appeared in the Geekbench benchmark.
The previous model in this line - the Galaxy M33 5G - was introduced in August, entering the market with the Dimensity 720 chip, a 6.5-inch screen, a triple camera and a 5000 mAh battery. Its successor is already in preparation - Samsung Galaxy M33 5G, about which the first reports appeared about two weeks ago. Now the existence of this phone is confirmed by the Geekbench 5 benchmark.

According to the test results, the Samsung Galaxy M33 5G is a model with the code designation SM-M336BU. The device scored 726 points in the single core test and 1,830 in the multi-core test.
Interestingly, this time, instead of the MediaTek chipset, Samsung will use its own Exynos 1200 chip. The same unit is to be found in another novelty from the Korean manufacturer - Galaxy A53 5G, which in the same test scored slightly less points - 690 and 1846 respectively. In both models, the test was conducted in the battery saving mode, which may lower the results.
The Exynos 1200 has not been released yet, it is supposed to be the successor of the Exynos 1080 (5 nm), although its performance does not fully indicate it - the older system has slightly better parameters. The chipset in the Galaxy M33 5G configuration consists of two faster 2.4 GHz cores, six slower 2 MHz, it also has a 5G modem. The old Mali-G68 GPU is to be responsible for the graphics. However, this information is not fully confirmed.
The tested Samsung Galaxy M33 5G has 6 GB of RAM and Android 12, probably with One UI 4.0.
Earlier, the same phone appeared in the Safety Korea database, which revealed the battery capacity - 5830mAh to be exact, so market this will be rounded to 6000mAh.
Leaks also show that the Samsung Galaxy M33 5G will get a 6.5-inch LCD screen with Full HD + resolution with a drop-shaped cutout. On the back of the housing there will be a photo section consisting of four cameras: the main 64 Mpix and additional 8 Mpix, 5 Mpix and 2 Mpix, on the front there is a 13 Mpix camera. Speculation also mentions the tightness of the IP67 housing, but the cost of this amplification will be the resignation from the 3.5 mm audio output.
The Galaxy M33 5G brings several improvements compared to its predecessor, which, combined with the expected, favorable price, can ensure its market success. The premiere of the smartphone is expected in January 2022.
