April 8, 2021, the Polish premiere of Realme 8 and 8 Pro smartphones took place. It is a continuation of the popular mid-priced smartphones, accompanied by new accessories: the Realme Watch S Pro and the Realme Buds Air 2 wireless headphones.
The leitmotif of the Realme 8 series is the slogan Capture Infinity. The manufacturer decided to offer smartphones in the middle shelf, which significantly shorten the distance between inexpensive models and the segment of more prestigious flagships. They are interestingly designed, fit well in the hand, are equipped with Super AMOLED displays and fast charging, and in terms of photographic capabilities, they offer more than competitive solutions.

Realme 8 Pro: new photo quality in the mid-range
The photographic heart of the main camera in Realme 8 Pro is the Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor with a resolution of 108 Mpix. The f/1.88 aperture and the technology of combining 9 pixels into 1 allows you to obtain high-quality photos, also in capricious weather, so typical for Poland. The algorithms used by the manufacturer allow the use of the huge resolution offered by the matrix to compensate for the details usually lost when taking pictures with digital zoom. In-sensor Zoom (x3) technology allows you to capture more details. The smartphone takes 8 photos - one after the other, in a very short time - then combines them and optimizes the quality of the final photo, sharpening the details.
The new sensor also allows you to get a photo with a maximum resolution of up to 12000 x 9000 pixels (in a dedicated mode). The already mentioned 9 pixels in 1, combined with advanced software, allows you to enjoy a very good automatic mode every day. Although for true connoisseurs of smartphone photography, Realme also left the manual PRO mode - this opens up much wider possibilities for experimenting with the use of a powerful sensor.
Realme 8 Pro is the first smartphone in the world that will allow you to photograph stars with a time-lapse effect. The Starry Mode 2.0, enhanced for the Series 8, will use 30 photos taken in 480 seconds to create an interesting moving shot. Another interesting photo mode in the 8 Pro model is Tilt-Shift (mock-up mode), giving an amazing, unreal, effect of the so-called miniature world. Using it, for example, to immortalize architecture or landscape, we can get the impression that we photographed a model, and not the reality that surrounds us. Realme 8 Pro will also allow you to use this effect in time-lapse mode (Tilt-shift Time-lapse).
You can find out more about the smartphone in our catalog as well as in the detailed review that we will publish later today.
