Samsung, unfortunately, has the same problems as his competitors from TSMC.This means that 3 nm systems will appear later than we would like.
Samsung is the only important TSMC competitor on the market of mobile systems manufacturers. As long as an important alternative in the US or Europe is created, it is also a quiet favorite of many countries in the competition with TSMC.Now, unfortunately, however, it turns out that both companies have problems. The market debut of 3 nm technology will be delayed. It seems that, for example, next year's iPhones 14 will be powered by A16 Bionic systems in 4 Nm, not 3 Nm.This means that they will be less issued.
3 nm systems are to appear only in 2023 or the fastest - at the end of 2022.At least that's what the Americans from Qualcom. The second largest system designer will entrust Samsung to the production of his Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 systems in 4 Nm technology. They are to be 20% more efficient than the current Snapdragons 888.However, TSMC will be responsible for the production of Qualcomm Snapdragon 898+ systems, which are to be created in 3 Nm technology. The Apple M2 systems produced by TSMC will also have 4 Nm architecture.
