The whole action — as T-Mobile —  claims has an ecological dimension. More than a billion new smartphones enter the market every year. The operator is aware that a significant part of their predecessors ends up in a drawer or in the trash, so he decided to help give them a second life.
How to resell a smartphone in T-Mobile? The procedure is simple
First of all, it should be noted that T-Mobile's offer is addressed to customers who want to buy a new phone. Its price is reduced by the repurchase amount of the old device.
To take advantage of the buyback offer, all you need to do is:
- bring the old phone to the T-Mobile salon;
- wait about 5 minutes for the smartphone's valuation;
- after hearing the offer, decide whether you want to use it .
The smartphone may be without packaging and charger, and may show signs of use. However, it should be efficient enough to at least connect to the Internet, which is part of the phone valuation procedure.

At the time of writing, the list includes well over 200 devices from Apple, Huawei, Nokia, LG, OPPO, Samsung, Sony and Xiaomi. More models will be added over time.
Most companies offering to buy back your old phone — among others Samsung —  operates its services online. However, T-Mobile claims that a visit to the salon is a greater convenience, because it eliminates the need to return the phone and long waits. Everything is done on site in a few minutes.
T-Mobile has also launched other pro-ecological initiatives. Suffice it to mention the Smartphone regeneration programme, under which customers can buy refurbished iPhones 6s and 8 for a symbolic zloty.
