In 2021, for the first time in 10 years, no new smartphone from the Galaxy Note series hit the market. Reason? Samsung focused on the production of foldable smartphones from the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 lines.
However, it was supposed to be a temporary situation; the company's management promised that Note would return in 2022. The latest statistics, however, leave no doubt that it would be difficult to justify it in business.
Samsung's foldable smartphones are storming the market
According to ETNews, sales of foldable phones from the Galaxy Z line are growing so dynamically that in 2022 Samsung plans to deliver 13 million copies to the market. It is very, very much.
For a broader context: in 2019, Galaxy Notes were to be sold in the number of 12.7 million units. In 2020, it was 9.7 million.
Application? Already next year, folded smartphones may break Notes with their popularity. And this is still a young product category, which can count on growth for a few more years, while phones with styluses were selling worse and worse.
The mentioned source reports that due to market changes, Samsung is not planning to introduce any new Galaxy Note in 2022.
To wipe the tears, the stylus is to go to the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
All the marks on the ground indicate that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will have an S Pen slot. The smartphone will therefore become a full successor of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
Does this mean that the Galaxy Note series is also completely redundant also from the consumer perspective? Not necessarily.
The price of the S22 Ultra will almost certainly come close to PLN 6,000, as the previous models in this series cost more or less. Meanwhile, the last Notes hit the market in two variants, the cheaper ones were closer to the PLN 4,000 limit.
Ba & hairsp; - & hairsp; even Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite appeared last year, costing PLN 2649 on the day of the premiere.
So far, no stylus in this price class is visible on the horizon. S Pena fans will therefore be doomed to the most fancy and at the same time the most expensive Samsung phones.
