The "Find my phone" function is a solution that allows you to find and control a lost smartphone. Samsung has improved it so that it can detect an offline phone.
The Find my phone function is a convenient solution that has helped many people in retrieving a lost phone. And thanks to synchronization with Samsung Cloud, it is also possible to remotely erase data and block access to Samsung Pay. However, to be able to take advantage of all its features, you need to be connected to the network. Until now, this meant that when it was broken, the feature was not able to function properly. However, that's what has changed - the latest update makes Find my phone (or Find my mobile) work even without internet.
Update 7.1.08.0 introduces "Offline Find". Thanks to it, it is possible to scan the surroundings in order to find other people's Galaxy phones, and if they have headphones or smartwatches connected to them, also these devices. A new possibility, called original Offline finding, was discovered by the first editor of the XDA Developers website, Max Weinbach.

Admittedly, this is a very ingenious solution that can greatly contribute to the effectiveness of finding lost or stolen Galaxy devices. However, we do not know yet whether all Samsung smartphone models from this line will receive it. For example, on my Galaxy M21 I have the Find My Phone application version 7.2.05.44, which is theoretically higher than 7.1.08.0, but I do not have such a function.
