A telephone consultant can make life difficult. Especially when it is a robot consultant who only says a few lines, regardless of our answers. One of the potential clients decided to deal with the problem.
Many people complain about spam from companies trying to literally force the purchase of a photovoltaic installation, for example as part of the "Clean County" program. Obviously, such a program does not exist, or at least we have not been able to find a poviat that would confirm that it is participating in it. Worse, phone consultants looking for customers are actually robots. Although not entirely.
As reported by the journalists of the website serwisnik.pl, we are not dealing here with artificial intelligence that recognizes speech and selects the right answers. All statements were actually pre-recorded and divided into appropriate groups. Except that the specific answer is chosen by the operator sitting by the phone.
One of the would-be clients decided to make a joke about the calling telemarketer, or rather the bot operator, and started teasing him by asking non-standard questions and giving absurd answers. The effect of the whole conversation is quite funny. Check it out for yourself. There are several more recordings available on the user's channel, which show the attempts of an ambitious conversation with a robo-consultant.
Where did they get my number?
The matter of privacy and access to the number is not easy to solve. As reported by the journalists of Niebezpiecznik, the company is registered in Ukraine and informs that it obtained all the data it uses "on the basis of an agreement concluded from an entity cooperating with the Company, which assured the Company of the legality of the source of the database".
So you can expect that we can't do much to get rid of the intruders. The best method that I personally use is simply blocking numbers. Although this process may take several days - I personally received phone calls regarding the photovoltaic installation from as many as 12 different numbers.
