Android Auto is often unstable, and recently there have been many problems with drivers using Samsung smartphones, including the Galaxy S21. As it turns out, they are just getting an update that fixes the main Android Auto problem.
The autoevolution service points out that Galaxy S21 users receive a software update created in cooperation with Google and Samsung, after which Android Auto should no longer cause random errors after unlocking the smartphone. The release of the appropriate patch at the beginning of July was announced in mid-June on the official Android Auto forum.
Earlier, the Android Auto problem was described, inter alia, by a user of Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, who could use the system with the phone locked and unlocked, but an attempt to unlock the smartphone (when it was connected to the car) resulted in an error. Android Auto lost communication with the unit in the car, and regained it only after reconnecting the cable.
Yanosik in Android Auto: I drove with the Alpha version - it promises to be very goodThe same Android Auto flaw was confirmed by other drivers, including users of other Samsung models: Galaxy A71 or Note 10. Most of them came from the turn of May and June, so drivers had to be patient while waiting for the update. Everything seems to indicate that the Android Auto problem in Samsung smartphones is disappearing (or at least it should) with the installation of the July cumulative updates, which are now coming to the owners.
Android Auto is available in our software catalog.
