The latest Google mobile system will receive notifications about access to the clipboard - reports XDA Developers. And not only.
Although there are still a few months to the consumer premiere of Android 12, the last, large leak of information about the Developer Preview version reveals a lot about the upcoming system. For example, the fact that in terms of privacy functions Android 12 is strongly inspired by ... iOS 14. In some places even very much.
Basically, this is good news, because when you learn, Apple has done a really titanic job in privacy. Although the mischievous people obviously have a chance to show off.
Like iOS 14, Android 12 will prompt you to access the clipboard
Already Android 10 blocked access to the clipboard for those applications that are not in the foreground. The "Dozen", however, goes a step further and will not only freeze pasting in the background, but will also display a notification when anything is pasted at all.
It is thanks to this feature that the bizarre behavior of a large group of applications was exposed, with the popular TikTok at the forefront, which for reasons only known to itself, asked the clipboard every 1-3 seconds. In Poland, a similar problem (?) Was with the mBank application.
So, it's good to know that Google is also entering the path of increased transparency. Nothing but wait for the results.
And it doesn't stop there. Significant changes also apply to the authorization system
As reported by XDA, the permission to access notifications is to be divided into four levels. At the moment, it is not known exactly what this means in practice, because there are no compatible applications, but you can guess. In a word, access to notifications will probably mean only some of them, whether in terms of source or significance. At least in limited scenarios.
We also know that there will be two completely new powers. First of all, & hairsp; - & hairsp; media management, but it's hard to say more about it at the moment. Second, & hairsp; - & hairsp; alarms and reminders, which means editing and reading these.
Finally, we have some cosmetics
The location access dialog will graphically show the difference between the full range and the limited (approximate) range.
In addition, installing APK files from external sources is to be facilitated. Namely, after the user has given his consent, the installation dialog will appear immediately and will no longer require manual jumping back.
Thus, it is supposed to be a bit safer and a bit more intuitive at the same time. Once again & hairsp; - & hairsp; nothing but wait for the results.
