The Polish government and the services of the license to use Pegasus will not extend it. Several dozen other countries were also deleted from the list of potential users of spyware created by the Israeli company NSO Group, including Hungary, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Morocco. As the Israeli daily Calcalist reported in November, the country's authorities deemed these clients "authoritarian regimes" abusing technology that was supposed to be used for other purposes. Israel specified these in December, announcing that buyers of its cybertechnology must undertake to use these weapons only to prevent terrorist acts and serious crime (both categories have been defined) and not to use them for political purposes or in violation of privacy laws. The reaction, although right, is first of all long overdue. The public has known for a long time how to turn Pegasus against political opponents - which can be concluded that software developers or Israeli intelligence have said it even earlier. 84% content left
