Touch ID

This is my first Mac from Touch ID, so I programmed three fingers - indicating the right, left and right toe.What for?I don't know yet.

Sharing / Sharing

This is potentially the most important activity on all my devices.Well, for decades I have the habit of calling my equipment names planets.I don't have much of my mothers, so I chose those from the world of Star Wars, e.g..Geonosis, Felucia, Jedha, Endor, Jakku, etc..I add nickname to the iPhones, for me to differ in each other, e.g..Geonosis X or Geonosis 13 Pro.

The exception here is MacBook Pro.When I purchased the late 2016 model, the one without Touch Bara, with a butterfly keyboard, I found that it was such scrap.Hence the name Sokół Millennium / Millennium Falcon.I continue this tradition with a new one, but it is no longer scrap metal.Maybe someday it will be, but this time has not yet come.

Notifications / Notifications

The only option I turned on here, do not interfere with not Disturb, so that it joins from 22:00 to 07:00.I am not interested in these Focus modes at all.

Keyboard / keyboard

This is another important item in preferences.Here I always increase the repetition of the / key repeat to the max, as well as the delay to repeat / delay until repeat.Function Modifiers / Modifier Keys ... In the lower right corner there is no function that interests me, so I do not bury there at all, but I use Karabiner Elements (it will be about it in another entry).

In the shortcut / shortcuts card, I turn on shortcuts with the Ctrl key for Mission control, or if we have spaces, Ctrl+1 will switch us to the first of them, Ctrl+2 to the second, etc..

Finally, there is still abbreviations of the application / App Shortcuts, where I add a few of my own to applications in which they are missing.On the left you can see my configuration with MacOS Catalina, and on the right with Monterey.The Adjust Size function ... in the preview / Preview works for now without having to duplicate it for all applications, so I leave it as it is and I still have to add a shortcut for photos.

Terminal

I still use the terminal surprisingly often, so it is obligatory to adapt it.I use Panic Palette, which you will find here, and before you start exchanging your favorites, I will immediately say that I know, I understand, you have my preferences, no, I do not want such a set of colors, I do not want to read about it and no, I do not force my own.It is primarily for you yeast.

I also change the font to a bigger one.I normally use Consolas or Mono operator, but this time I stayed with Menlo.We'll see for how long.

Defaults

I don't know why, but Macos Monterey and earlier do not signal in any way that the application is hidden.Usually, the abbreviation ⌘h is used for this.However, this can be turned on, which I wrote about 11 years ago.To do this, start the terminal and enter the following commands in it, where both of them are approved by the Enter:

Now the hidden application icons will be semi -transparent, which makes life easier.

Currently, I'm waiting for Photos to finish the originals of ICloud photos to have a set on a computer so that you can backup them independently.It takes longer than I thought ...
