Wallet, i.e. the Wallet application on the iPhone, allows you to store virtual payment cards in it, as well as some documents, a parking card or airline tickets. How do I add a covid passport to Apple Watch and iPhone in Wallet?
Some countries offer their citizens the option of adding a covid passport to Wallet, which will make it much easier to present it at airports during check-in or even in public places, in countries where such a need occurs, for example at the entrance to a museum or even a cafe. In Poland, such restrictions have not been introduced, although the government more and more often say that if the vaccination pace slows down, they may also be implemented in Poland.
Currently, we have to show the covid passport when traveling abroad. While in many countries it has introduced the possibility of generating and adding it from the position of the application which is the equivalent of our mObywat or mojeIKP, in Poland we can only generate a certificate to be printed or run it in a government application. However, there is a way to add a fully functional covid passport to the Wallet application and conveniently use it on Apple Watch or iPhone in the same way as when paying by phone via Apple Pay also in Poland.
How do I add a COVID-19 vaccination certificate to my iPhone and Apple Watch?
The first step is to generate our vaccination certificate on the website patient.gov.pl. A trusted profile is necessary for this. You can also use the mojeIKP mobile application available in the AppStore. On the patient.gov.pl website, click Log in> Log in to IKP.
Then click Trusted Profile and log in using our bank account or if we have an e-proof, we can use this form of logging in.
After logging in via the bank or e-proof and returning to the website patient.gov.pl, select Certificates from the top bar, and then click Download QR code in the Vaccination certificate.
QR Code will be displayed.
Then we take our iPhone and enter the address in the web browser: getcovidpass.eu On the main page, press Create Yours.
Information will be displayed. Press the I accept square. The Continue button will be highlighted. We press.
The two buttons SCAN QR and UPLOAD PDF / JPG / PNG will then appear. The first one allows you to create a certificate by photographing the Qr code displayed on our website patient.gov.pl. The second one allows you to upload photos of the certificate to the server and create it in Wallet based on it. Here I will add that the latter option did not work for me. So we hit Scan QR. The phone will ask for access to the Camera. We touch Let. We photograph the code, a button will appear in the application that allows you to add it to Wallet.
We add. Your UCC covid passport is now in Wallet.
