I allowed myself a little bit of malice - but the latest rumors indicate that the more powerful (!) Version of the iPhone 14 Pro will finally include elements that we currently see in average Android devices. The first is to be larger operating memory. 8 GB is actually the current standard in the Android world, but if we want to enjoy a really high smoothness of the smartphone, it is better to reach for 12 or 16 GB. Meanwhile, as we know, iOS is definitely less demanding in this respect and works satisfactorily even with 4 GB of RAM. The jump to 8 GB may herald an increase in the hardware requirements of the system in its subsequent versions.
Another element, common in android mediums, and unheard of at Apple, will be a 48 megapixel camera. Here you can immediately shout that the number of pixels is not the most important - and good software and optics are more important for the quality of the photo. If Apple "ogres" the new camera well - the quality of photos from the iPhone can reach a whole new level. The camera will also allow you to record videos in 8K, and there will also be changes on the front of the phone. Instead of a note, we only see a hole for a selfie camera. The Face ID team will go to the display. An equally interesting rumor is the one mentioning that the base models of the iPhone 14 will be available in a version with 64 GB memory. The current generation starts - let's recall - from 128 GB.
Information is contradictory about the displays of the new iPhone series. Some sources mention refreshing the image with a frequency of 120 Hz, others deny it. Nevertheless, fast refreshing would be another element that would allow iPhones to match Android smartphones. Another such change is to use the USB-C port. It is true that Apple will change the socket under pressure from the European Union - but it will certainly be a good step. Lightning doesn't match USB 4.0 with data transfer speed ...
Since we are already writing about Apple, I will mention a few more information provided by Ross Young from Display Supply Chain. He writes that Apple plans to launch its own augmented reality (AR) glasses in the coming year. However, it will be very expensive equipment. The first foldable Apple device will not be cheap either. However, we will see them only in 2023 or even 2024. For now, it is not even sure whether it will be a foldable iPhone or iPad ...
