In OneDrive, the user can store his documents, photos and other files, being sure that they will always be at hand. The service is compatible with all modern devices, not only those with Windows. From Mac, iPad and iPhone to Android devices. It is also available in a web form, so it will work on any device with a web browser.

The data on OneDrive is well protected, so the service is great for data backup. You can also easily share files with other people through it. Just send them a personalized link to a collection of files or folders for them - for example, to share vacation photos with your family.

Word, Excel and PowerPoint - the best office tools on the market.

The same Word, Excel and PowerPoint that are used by the fastest growing companies in the world are also available as part of the Microsoft 365 consumer package. Word is an absolutely perfect text editor with which you can prepare an essay for school, write an essay or diary or create other, visually attractive documents. Word will help the user by taking care of the aesthetics of the document or its linguistic correctness. It will also help with much more important documents, such as a letter to the office or a contract of sale.

Excel, in turn, is the most intelligent, most advanced calculator on the market. Companies rely on Excel to settle entire huge budgets, but nothing prevents you from also using it to settle the home budget. Microsoft's spreadsheet editor is also an excellent teaching aid for students. Tasks in mathematics and statistics or studies, in which the analysis of numerical data are an important element, will become much easier with Excel.

The last of the flagship applications, PowerPoint, is likely to be the least used of those in Office's Great Trinity. Presentations are the domain of meetings in companies. However, it is worth remembering that from time to time, some people also perform in public outside of work. For example, presenting a school or academic home project in class. PowerPoint, equipped with artificial intelligence algorithms, will ensure the visual attractiveness of the presentation or even its appropriate rhythm or accessibility for listeners with disabilities. Additionally, Microsoft 365 also provides Sway for creating presentations for online shows.

Outlook, Calendar and Contacts. Fast, convenient and safe mail.

Many users associate Outlook primarily with a bloated, multi-functional e-mail and task application. This app is also available as part of Microsoft 365 for individual users, but will likely be needed by a relatively small group of users. The Outlook e-mail service is much more valuable, along with calendar and contact book support.

Outlook is an exceptionally efficient e-mail that uses advanced Exchange technology with encryption. It is very fast and secure and is compatible with virtually every operating system on the market, including mobile ones. It allows you to create various filters and categories, and it also has an advanced anti-spam filter.

Outlook also integrates perfectly with the To-Do service, another component of Microsoft 365. With it, you can plan and manage tasks to be performed conveniently, which helps to keep things regular. It can also be used for more mundane activities: for example, to create a descriptive shopping list.

OneNote, the cloud-based notebook. Thanks to it, no thought or idea will escape.

OneNote is the digital successor to the handy notebook. A place where the user can note down everything he needs. Notes from a lesson or lecture, brilliant ideas, sketches created with the stylus attached to the device or anything else. OneNote will take any format: text, voice, graphic and will remember it in the user's private cloud. Thanks to this, regardless of what device the user currently has at hand - PC, tablet, phone or something else - synchronized by the OneNote cloud is immediately at hand, and the notes entered into it are segregated into individual sections, notebooks and departments, so that they can be later easy to find.

Microsoft Teams has conquered companies and schools. Now it's also available to families and groups of friends. It's also hard to forget about Skype.

The same Teams, which turned out to be crucial for the continued operation of companies as part of remote or hybrid work, was made available by Microsoft in a simplified, but still highly functional version for individual users. Instead of working teams, you can gather groups of friends or family members in it and communicate in a convenient way. Microsoft Teams supports group videoconferencing, and you can use it to create documents useful for groups - for example, a shared Microsoft To-Do list, in which each family member ticks off the necessary homework assignments.

Part of Microsoft 365 is also Skype, which probably needs no introduction. It is one of the best and safest communicators on the market, with a comfortable and aesthetic interface and efficient support for voice and video calls. However, not everyone knows that Skype is also telephony - the service can be used to make calls to landline and mobile phones. Microsoft 365 users get 60 free minutes a month for these types of calls.

The Microsoft editor will take care of the correct Polish language. Not only in Microsoft Office applications.

Until recently, Microsoft's well-known and highly regarded language validation functions were only available as part of the Office application. But Microsoft has changed that - its award-winning spelling, grammar, and stylistic correction engine is also available as an external service. Microsoft Editor, as it was named, can be integrated with many other applications. This is the default spell checker in Windows, but it also works on other platforms - including most popular web browsers, being available as an extension.

Family safety with Microsoft 365.

The last Microsoft 365 service worth mentioning is Family Safety. With its help, parents can check where their children are at the moment. They can also remotely manage the screen time children spend in front of them: for example, by limiting their time for video games. Family safety is also effective filters, protecting minors from content inappropriate for them.

In the above text, I have given numerous examples of the usefulness of Microsoft 365 services in user groups - such as in the family. Does this mean that to be able to use them fully, each family member must have a separate license for Microsoft 365 Personal? Fortunately not.

Microsoft's offer includes the Microsoft 365 Family package, which costs PLN 43 per month or PLN 275 per year. It provides the same benefits as Microsoft 365 Personal - only not for one, but for six users. Each of them retains all the benefits related to the service, which means a terabyte in OneDrive for each individual or 60 minutes on Skype for each family member.

The Family package also allows for quick and easy configuration of services that the family will probably use together: for example the above-mentioned Teams, shared calendar or To-Do task lists.

In the past, Microsoft Office was too expensive for a home user. Microsoft 365 is so cheap and so functional that it has hardly any competition.

Office applications, a terabyte of cloud data for each user, spell checking, outstanding mail and calendar service, child supervision and much, much more. All this for the price of a few bottles of Cola per month and with the highest level of privacy and data security. Purchasing a subscription to Microsoft 365 is, colloquially speaking, a no-brainer. Especially considering its very attractive price.
