First, a few words about my adventure with iPhone for a wider context.In 2017, I exchanged my "seven" for a much more modern iPhone X, which in the lowest memorial version (256 GB) cost PLN 5729.It was a prohibitive amount for me, but I decided that I could afford to pay such a tax on new products.Unfortunately, it was supposed to quickly turn out that Apple was just getting started.

It is true that in the following years cheaper models of XR and 11 appeared, but switching to any of them I would feel regress because of the much worse LCD screen instead of OLED or larger frames.Therefore, only XS and 11 Pro models would be involved, costing in variants 256 GB in turn 5729 and 5949 PLN.

iPhone 12 is the first reasonably priced iPhone for years that I could use every day

The new Apple flagship in versions 64, 128 and 256 GB costs 4199, 4449 and PLN 4949, respectively.64 GB is not enough for me, but the middle one would be enough for me.

From my perspective, it looks like this: if I were to reach for the latest generation iPhone a year ago, which would meet the minimum of my requirements, I would have to spend PLN 5,949 for the iPhone 11 Pro 256 GB.Now I would calmly close myself in PLN 4449.Even smaller iPhone 12 mini for PLN 3849 came into play.

From a consumer point of view, this is a great change for me.Subscribers particularly feel it, because the iPhone 12 should cost PLN 1,000 in offers in which last year's flagship cost 2500.

The huge advantage of the iPhone 12 is the OLED screen

In previous years, Apple reserved OLEDs only for the most expensive models starting from the level of PLN 5,000, which in my opinion was a shameful practice.Competition, headed by Samsung, has no problems with packaging such screens even for phones for less than PLN 1,500.

The iPhone 12 is praised for the record faithful color reproduction, in accordance with Hollywood standards.I appreciate that someone has been calibrated, but I personally do not mount movies on National Geographic on the phone, and privately I prefer more saturated colors, even at the expense of their naturalness.So I invariably regret that Apple has not implemented settings that allow you to adapt the displayed colors to its own preferences, which practically all android competition does.

Greater liquidity translates into the impression of faster action.Although the iPhone 12 is probably the fastest of the flagships I tested in recent months, it makes the impression of the slowest.Not such a liquid animations do their job.

On the other hand, I have to note that the lack of a higher refresh rate is a problem, you have to taste it first.Here Apple is in a winning position, because it is about trend that has only gained strength this year.Most people will probably change from 2 or 3-year-old smartphones, so they won't feel any regression.

In terms of the quality of the sound played, Apple jumped back to the majority of Android rivals pretty a few years ago and he manages to maintain a huge distance.The depth of the sound coming out of such a small device is almost unbelievable.

The sound is loud, very fleshy and uniform on both sides, thanks to which the stereo effect is really audible.Class.There are few phones where firing music directly from the phone speaker really gives me fun, but the iPhone 12 belongs to them.

iPhone 12 captivated me with a designer back to the roots

I miss a telephoto lens, which by Apple is consistently used only in Pro variants for over PLN 5,000.In this price class it is a sensation.Samsung had no problem with putting a very good 3x telephoto lens even into the limited Galaxy S20 Fe, which starts from PLN 1300 lower than the iPhone 12.

iOS 14 can be liked

Apple flagship, of course, after removing from the box, works under the control of the latest version of the operating system.iOS 14 is an edition that was primarily subjected to a strong "undroid" thanks to the possibility of placing widgets on desktops or displaying movies with floating window.

Although I currently prefer Android personally, I used IOS 14.Transfer to another platform has never been easier.

Apple sometimes releases underdeveloped software, but this release does not apply to this release.I have not encountered any more serious stability problems.

The modest equipment of the iPhone 12 can be a problem

iPhone 12 is delivered only with a USB-C cable for lightning.No power supply and headphones.In my opinion, Apple cut the set at the worst possible moment, because the process of change from the USB-A standard on USB-C has just begun.

Let's add pandemic realities and difficulties in buying anything through closed galleries.It is really easy for me to imagine a situation when someone buys an iPhone or gets it as a gift, he realizes that they do not have the right charger, and then he must buy a power supply for several dozen zlotys (original Apple 20 W2 days for delivery.There have been no such anti -consumen absurdities throughout the history of mobile telephony.

The iPhone 12 battery is at most ok

The built -in battery has a capacity of 2815 mAh.This is a ridiculously small result for a device of this size, but fortunately iOS has its own rules, so real performance is better than the numbers indicate it.Though not sensational.

During the day of using the iPhone 12 with an active dark mode that comes down to browsing the network, watching video, listening to music and taking photos, I pulled rather no more than 5-6 hours on the screen.This is definitely less than in the case of a smaller iPhone 11 Pro.
