US senators plan to target the Chinese brand Honor, which is getting ready to return to Europe. Will Honor lose Google services faster than we think?

The United States black list has been the bane of Huawei since 2019, but we often forget that the problems also concerned entities subordinate to the Chinese giant. For many months, the Honor brand could not release smartphones with all the existing technologies.

The drama only ended in late 2020, when Honor was sold to another company. From that moment, intensive work on the restoration of Google services began and cooperation with Qualcomm was established - it took almost a whole year, because the first European premiere of Honor is still ahead of us.

Americans don't like honor

Honor also experienced a great boom in Chinese sales and even tame Xiaomi, and at the same time began designing the next generations of phones. Up to this point, everything has been fine, but Honor's success is starting to irritate the Americans - who is bothered by strong Honor?

As it turns out, American senators headed by Marco Rubio. A special letter was issued in which politicians called for sanctions similar to Huawei to be imposed on the Honor brand. As they pointed out, Honor can be the "arm" of the Chinese government and a threat to the country's security.

It is difficult to say how the Biden administration and Honor himself, who has yet to respond to the case, will react to these accusations. It's worth knowing that this is not the first time that Honor has been targeted by the Americans.

No matter how the situation unfolds, we can be sure that Honor 50 smartphones will have Google services in Poland. Telephones have already acquired the rights to them, and any possible sanctions will not have retroactive effect. At worst, the company's European path will end in this series.
