HarmonyOS is Huawei's operating system that is rapidly gaining popularity. Soon, thousands of devices will be updated to it - as one feature shows, you don't have to be afraid of it.
HarmonyOS is on the tongues of all media related to smartphones - including us, because we have been following the development of the Huawei operating system from the beginning. The update to the new software is expected to hit many phones, tablets and other devices soon.
Moving from Android to HarmonyOS is not an easy task, even though both systems are rather similar and there is a high probability that they use the same kernel. The system will be distributed to users via a regular update, and during such operations there is always a risk of data loss and errors.
HarmonyOS won't delete your data
Huawei must, however, try to make the update as minimal as possible - according to the source information, this was achieved because HarmonyOS will allow device owners to keep all data, games, photos and applications. This is great news, but we did not expect anything else.

At this point, it is worth noting that keeping the application may mean leaving in memory also those programs that are not in the AppGallery store - the PhoneClone service works similarly, which transfers data from the old phone to the new one.
By buying a model even without Google services and with Huawei Mobile Services, the user could count on PhoneClone to keep apps from the old smartphone that did not cooperate with the Huawei store. Most of them worked fine on HMS and can run on HarmonyOS. At least that's what I expect.
Of course, the AppGallery store is constantly expanding, and eventually Google services are to be replaced by Huawei's own, but I think that leaving all applications intact will please many Maniacs. They will feel at home on the refreshed phone, and by the way they will get access to HarmonyOS functions.
