Mobvoi is a less known Chinese watch manufacturer.The company has been operating since 2012.and is founded by a former Google employee.The first Ticwatch watches were created thanks to support on Kikstarter.The company has since 2015.A partnership agreement with Google and probably thanks to this Mobvoi offers its watches with the Wear OS system.In addition to the system rich in the possibilities, we will find interesting and proprietary solutions, such as a double, two -layer display.If we add ESIM support and Google Pay mobile payments, it starts to get really interesting for just over 1300 PLN.In my opinion, however, the manufacturer has several key elements to improve.Let's get to the details.

How do we assess the design?- 4+ rating

Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS has a round display with two buttons on the right edge.It is similar to some extent the construction of Huawei Watch GT 2.There is a crown around the screen with time markings, but unfortunately it is not rotatable like in Samsung watches.None of the buttons have a rotation function as in the new Huawei models.

The strap has a standard 22 mm wide and is compatible with any belt of this size from an analog watch.Ticwatch presented an interesting solution in the form of a belt, which is on the top of the leather (or leather -like), and from below at the place of attachment to the skin has fluorolastomer.This allows you to reconcile the elegance of the skin and durability of the material, which moisture will not hurt.The bottom of the belt also has an embossed pattern, which, as I guess, I have to improve breathability and reduce the surface that remains in constant contact with the skin.

The TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS envelope is made of a connection of stainless steel and fiber reinforced nylon.During the tests, I did not observe any signs of wear, including a scratch on an envelope or screen.

The Mobvoi watch offers two sealing and resistance standards-IP68 and MIL-STD-810G.The first is the classic resistance to the penetration of water and dust, like in smartphones, the second standard expands to with difficult conditions, such as high temperature, falls or vibrations.However, there is no question of classic for watches resistance to immersion, e.g..up to 5 atmosphere, i.e. 50 meters.The manufacturer ensures that you can swim in the pool with the watch, but I would not risk diving, swimming in salt water and with large waves.

The envelope size is 47 x 48 x 12.3 mm, and its weight is 41 grams without a belt.This is a standard size for a smartwatch, and the weight of Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS is rather one of the lighter ones.I have no comments for wearing comfort.

Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS has a built -in speaker and microphone.Allows you to receive voice calls without reaching for the phone.If we decide to buy ESIM, you can call it without a smartphone, but I did not check it in practice.

The watch notifies us about incoming notifications of sound and vibrations.The vibrations are of poor quality.

What do we think about the display?- rating 6-

Display, and basically even two is one of the special features of the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS.Mobvoi came up with a brilliant idea in its simplicity to offer the user always visible basic information, such as time, date, number of steps and charging the battery without having to use the Always on Display, which significantly accelerates the relief of the battery, shortening the working time by half.Above the AMOLED display with a diagonal of 1.4 inches and a resolution of 454x454 pixels and a density of 326 PPI there is a classic FSTN screen, so as we find in old digital watches, e.g..Casio classics.

There are at least two advantages of the FSTN display - it consumes negligible amounts of energy and is legible in even the most sharp lighting.When it is dark, the screen uses the backlight, the color of which can be chosen.As a result, the gesture of the wrist slope only turns on the backlight under a simplified screen, and the AMOLED display activates when notifications come or when we wake the watch with a button or touch.According to the manufacturer, if we turn on the most limited energy consumption mode and we will only use the FSTN screen, the watch will work for 45 days.

As soon as we wake up the watch by touching the screen, or pressing the FSTN screen button turns off and a fully colorful AMOLED display appears, as in every modern smartwatch.Switching minimally increases the delay than waking up the screen in a watch, which has only one display, but this does not affect everyday use.

Specification and operating system- 5+/4-

The watch is equipped with the most powerful processor dedicated to the Snapdragon Wear 4100 watches, with Mobvoi to add a second, energy -saving operation processor as soon as the simplified screen is active.

The processor supports 1 GB RAM and 8 GB per system and user files, of which about 5 GB are free to use.

The communication package includes Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi: 802.11b/g/n, NFC and ESIM.The location is implemented thanks to five systems: GPS, Beidou, Glonass, Galileo and QZSS.

The sensor set includes: accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, entertainment lighting sensor, as well as heart rate and blood oxygenation sensor.

The watch works under the control of Wear OS version 2.33.Google has not yet released the 3.0 version to all willing producers.At the moment, the latest Wear OS is reserved for Samsung.

Notifications in Mobvoi Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS are very extensive.They often contain images (although not in the case of Messenger) and emoticons.Notifications can be answered in three ways: emoticons, a screen keyboard that also supports drags and dictation.Gboard is responsible for entering the text by default and easily serves Polish.With the help of Mobvoi Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS you can easily send a few -handed answer.These are really important advantages that we will not find even in Huawei watches, but also in many other devices.Before Samsung's watches began to work under the control of OS, yes, they allowed to respond to notifications, but the Polish language was not fully supported, especially for dictation.

By default, after starting the Mobvoi Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS does not measure pulse and blood oxygenation.Everything needs to be manually configured and allow each element.In addition, when activating measurements, whether it was pulse or other parameters, the watch wanted me to create an account and log in to the Passport website.mobvoi.com and he redirected me to the phone.To configure the watch, you need a standard Wear OS application.It is in it that we will pair the watch with the phone, change the order and add new widgets, set notifications, check free memory and tie with a Google account.

The trouble is that to see any data that a watch measures, such as pulse, SPO2, sleep, steps, distance and calories, you need to install a separate Mobvoi application.This application is not recommended by Google if we use advanced protection.

Both the Mobvoi application and the watch itself are in English.Only Google assistant and responding to notifications supports Polish.

Automatic effort detection works and start measurements during e.g..march.I also have no objections to measuring pulse and oxygenation and sleep.The system itself works quickly and smoothly.A big plus is full compatibility with Spotify and YouTube Music - in both cases you can download music through WiFi for offline listening.Just connect Bluetooth headphones straight to the watch to be able to listen to music during training without a phone.

How long does the battery work?- rating 4

Ticwatch has a 577 mAh battery.Is charged with a dedicated magnetic charger.Unfortunately, it is not possible to charge wireless, which is a big downside - we must always have access to the factory cable, otherwise nothing can be done.

The watch without GPS training, with all the functions of pulse and sleep monitoring on the fourth day.If we start using his capabilities more widely, it will be his standard action time.And if we decide to turn on Always on Display, which is not indicated because of the second, energy -saving screen, then the operation time will be shortened by half to one and a half days.

What TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS distinguishes the possibility of operation up to 45 days in ultra -economical mode with a permanent FSTN screen.

So are these results good?Honestly, I was counting on more.On the one hand, it works at least twice as long as Samsung and Apple watches, but at the same time much shorter than Huawei or Garmin watches, which do not have a second screen technology.Huawei may not have all the functions of Ticwatch, with a regular AMOLED screen works up to two weeks.

Our final assessment

Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS is a rich smartwatch with the Wear OS system.It allows you to respond to notifications, both by writing on the keyboard and dictating in Polish and supports Google Pay.The use of a double display allows you to read the time in all conditions.In addition, we get support for ESIM in the watch for PLN 1380.

However, it should be remembered that the watch and its applications on the phone communicate with us in English.It is also not as refined as in Samsung and Huawei watches.The summary application is sufficient, but there is a lot of it to be the quality of competitors.That is why TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS would rather recommend to people looking for an alternative to what is widely known on the market and for those who are easy to get discouraged during the first configuration.Then the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS will be an interesting and giving way a watch.However, if you just want to start using a smartwatch with a minimum of effort, I would head towards the products of larger and more famous manufacturers.
