The candidates chosen by NASA will spend a year at the station at the Mars Dune Alpha special module at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.The goal is to prepare for the future sending astronauts to the planet.

Space walks and restrictions

Candidates must have a master's degree in exact sciences, engineering or mathematics or have aviation experience.The agency also adds that only American citizens or steel US residents qualify for the experiment.Applicants must be aged 30 to 55, be healthy, without nutritional problems and without a tendency to motion disease.
