One of the biggest advantages of the Huawei Cloud is, above all, deeper integration with the system, thanks to which the data synchronization process is trivial and does not involve additional user involvement. And if someone asks what distinguishes the Chinese manufacturer's cloud, we can mention here the possibility of smooth data flow between our devices.
What exactly is the Huawei Cloud?
Huawei Cloud Service provides its users with 5 GB of cloud storage for free. Of course, this package can be extended, and the offer is intended for users of Huawei devices with EMUI 5.1 or later. The Huawei cloud perfectly complements the manufacturer's applications, thanks to which you do not have to synchronize e.g. photos or notes in a separate program yourself - just automate this process accordingly.
All photos and videos taken and recorded with the camera, as well as screenshots and screen recordings can be automatically archived to the service from our gallery. When you delete a photo, it will be moved to the recently deleted items folder. Photos in this folder can be restored within 30 days from the date of deletion. Deleting content from the phone also automatically deletes data from the Huawei Cloud service.
Undoubtedly, one of the most important features of the Huawei Cloud is the ability to create backups. Thanks to this function, we can decide for ourselves whether the device should create copies automatically or we prefer to create them manually. You can select the data to be backed up - anything you want, such as galleries, contacts, messages, notes, recordings, settings, weather forecasts, clock, camera, and apps. It can also be any other data.
Cloud from Huawei - view data on whatever you want
Importantly, our files that will be in the cloud can also be viewed on other devices. At cloud.huawei.com, we have access to and manage our data in the service portal. The Cloud portal makes it easy to import and export contacts, merge duplicate entries, open and view photos and videos, and manage or delete data. This convenient solution will also allow for the possible deletion of data important to us in the event of theft.
It is worth emphasizing that using the Huawei virtual disk is a safe process. All data is stored only on European servers in the European Union - in accordance with applicable EU law governing the protection of personal data and privacy.
Just transferring the contents of your smartphone or tablet to your mobile resources is simple. Just go to "Settings" and create your Huawei ID account (providing your email or phone number and password). After logging in to it, we gain access to the Huawei Cloud, from where you can enter the virtual disk content management panel with one click.
If 5 GB in the cloud is not enough for us, we can enlarge our package - we have 50 GB, 200 GB and 2048 GB (2 terabytes) at our disposal. At any time, the user can opt out of this option, and access to files saved in the cloud will be maintained, despite this, for the next 12 months. We can extend the package not only for real money, but also by using our Huawei Points accumulated in the AppGallery.
Special offer for buyers of P40 series smartphones
Huawei in April also launched a special Cloud offer for owners of smartphones from the latest P series. Users of the Huawei P40 lite or P40 lite E models will receive 15 GB of free memory in the Huawei Cloud, and buyers of Huawei P40 and P40 Pro smartphones will receive as much as 50 GB of memory. Free space in the Huawei Cloud is granted for a period of 12 months. The offer is valid until December 31, 2020.
The offer of free space in the Huawei Cloud also includes one smartphone outside the latest P series - the foldable Huawei Mate Xs. In his case, free memory is 50 GB for 12 months, as in the more expensive models of the P series. In the future, the offer will also apply to the P40 Pro + model, whose market debut in Poland is scheduled for June.
How can owners of these Huawei models expand their cloud space?
In order to enlarge the space in the Huawei Cloud, the owners of the above-mentioned smartphone models must have an active Huawei ID account and have a payment card attached to it. If you want to receive free storage in the Cloud, go to Phone Settings, select Huawei ID, then in the Account Center select the "Cloud Service" option. There you will find the option "Increase the size of cloud storage", which you need to select.
Free space in the Huawei Cloud is granted for a period of 12 months from the moment of activation. One month before the end of the subscription, the user will receive a message about the upcoming end date. Then he will be able to decide whether he wants to extend the service - otherwise it will be activated for the next period, with a monthly fee of PLN 47.88 per month.

The cloud is one of the foundations of Huawei Mobile Services
The cloud from the Chinese manufacturer is one of the main elements of Huawei Mobile Services. HMS is a proprietary solution that is the basis for the Huawei ecosystem consisting of services such as Mobile Cloud, but also Themes, Browser, Assistant or AppGallery store. The ecosystem is based on the HMS Core technology layer.
Thanks to this, we can automatically synchronize data between multiple devices (with EMUI 5.1 or later) using a Huawei ID. You can also manage your data by logging in to Huawei Clouds on your phone, tablet, laptop or other device. In the case of replacing a Huawei or Honor phone with a new one, after logging in to the Huawei Cloud service, we will have access to all data and settings from the previous phone.
Huawei has prepared tools that are increasingly replacing the solutions we got used to in previous years. And, importantly, it does it effectively.
