Huawei changes its mind. His smartwatches will support external applications

Fans of Huaweia watches have been waiting for this information for over 2 years.

Huawei smart watches with the LiteOS system have many advantages, including a very long working time on a single charge, reaching several days. Grace for the battery, however, was paid for with functional compromises.

Smartwatches allow you to use only a handful of pre-installed applications and this list could not be — at least with official methods — extended so far. Now that is changing.

Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro with the first external app

People who have the Fitify training app on their smartphones can also use the companion app on the watch. So far, the only supported model is the Watch GT 2 Pro.

Fitify watches have been prepared using Huawei Mobile Services integration tools. For now, it's just one program, but Huawei says it will provide "full support" to app developers interested in its wearable ecosystem.

So there is a chance that Huaweia watches will soon be able to install popular messengers, music players, navigation apps and all the tools that are missing out of the box.
